sims 3 update fail 'invalid file found'!

hi,

i had all the expansion pack , WA, ambition, high end loft, fast lane, late night...
i had read all the instuction and fully understand the procedure,

now i installed sims 3 base game (NOT CRACKED YET)
and downloaded update patch from internet, try update... at 0% it said invalid file found!
if i dint update, i cant install WA!...

pls help...

Please be patient at all time, if you want something for free.
Try the following:

1. Completely uninstall The Sims 3 All expansions.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Reinstall The Sims 3. DO NOT APPLY THE CRACKS!
4. Install WA.* DO NOT APPLY THE CRACKS!
5. Install HELS.* DO NOT APPLY THE CRACKS!
6. Install Ambitions. DO NOT APPLY THE CRACKS!
7. Install Fast Lane Stuff.* DO NOT APPLY THE CRACKS!
8. Install Late Night.* DO NOT APPLY THE CRACKS!
9. Update the launcher to the latest version.
10. Apply these updated Cracks: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/fixes-f18/the-sims-3-latest-cracks-download-t656.htm
11. See if the Game works now.

I have the same problem. And I have installed all the games 5 times, it all worked fine until recently when they released the new patch 6.1.11 - I downloaded the files for the patch from this forum and replaced them into the folder like instructed but it doesn't work. It won't patch... now I guess the solution is AGAIN to install all the expansions including the base game? Isnt it easier to just find the invalid files and fix those manually? Really a pain in the ass to reinstall everythng everytime a new patch comes out

Ive already played a lot in the game... so how can I make sure to save the content? Can you tell me what folder/files I have to copy and keep and later replace them so I dont lose the content?

I'm still working on the original files, so I can provide you with those when you need to Update your Game. You don't just need to copy & paste, you need to update the Game, via the The Sims 3 Launcher.

The save games can be found in: (My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\saves

Hi. i'm having similar problems.
I've installed the base game, world adventures, and fast lane stuff, and the big patch. but it tries to update from 5.0.44 to 5.5.4, gets to 98%, then gives the "invalid file found" message.

Any ideas?
