Broken and unable to play?[SOLVED]

Hi there.

I just finished updating to 1.42 manually, because I couldn't through the launcher. Was so excited to get my blue prints and stuff (if you didn't know, omg I'm so pumped.) Then boom. Right after I finished I tried to start the game, it said 'No game disc found! Please reinsert the sims 3 pets disc to being playnig' or soemthing like that. Anyway, I quit and re-did the crack for pets. Then I applied the fix for JUST the base game. Now when I try to play (through right clicking the icon and hitting open file location, which is what I always do) nothing happened. I tried through the launcher as well, it leaves after I click play and nothing happens. What did I do? I'm so confused.

I have Generations, Late Night, Pets, and base game.

EDIT// I don't believe this is an in-game problem..hehe. But I fixed it! I'm a bit embarrassed to say after I patched it I forgot to re-download the newest fix..game is running perfectly now and sorry for an invoncience and yay if I helped another like me!
