When trying to install the sims 3 diesel stuff pack, an error message popped up saying "microsoft visual c++ runtime error" abnormal abortion ... please help

Hello,

Looks like you need to download microsoft visual c++. It's no big deal, you can download it from www.microsoft.com. I'm not sure which version you'd need or I'd find it for you.

I have tried uninstalilng and reinstalling all my visual drives but it's still not working

Hello,

Try opening Windows Update and then applying ALL available updates, including the optional ones.
After applying all updates, restart your PC.

I have tried that but the error still pops up ... I download the sims 3 generations but the install for that worked ... is there any suggestions for which file extracter i should use?

i have used winrar but it still doesn't work... maybe i will have to redownload them again
