Unable to install

Hi, every time I try to begin to install the game, I get a pop-up that says:

I haven't had any other problems with downloads and I'm confused on what I should do for this... I'd love to actually play this game. Sorry if this is in the wrong area..

Did you use WinRAR to extract the .rar?

No, I'm unable to download WinRAR.

Are you trying to use their site, or our download?

I've tried using both. Whenever I try to install it.. it's unable to install pretty much every format in it. It always tells me to close the application, reboot my computer and then restart the downloading process.

Are you a Admin account on the computer, or have access to install it with one?

Yeah, I'm the admin.

Hmm, have you tried just to test right-click and run as admin?

Yeah, it's the same problem as before.

Are you running a 64-bit OS, or 32 bit? Since if your running the 64-Bit, did you try both the 32-bit and 64-bit applications?

64, tried both thinking that one had to work. I can try the reboot and start application over again, I'll see if my luck has changed...

I'm not sure, will have to wait for some more help, skimming through all the articles I can try to find with google about WinRAR installing problems, and half of them have the answer as download another extractor, which isn't really useful in this case.

I finally was able to install WinRAR. I'm not really sure how to use it to download the sims now though.

You download the .rar right? Just use WinRAR to extract them.

Whenever I try to do that now it says access denied.

Where are you trying to extract them to? Try something like your desktop or something.

Is there a guide on how to use WinRAR? I'm able to see The Sims 3 Seasons.rar in WinRAR but every time I go to extract it to the desktop there's some kind of problem. Either with not finding the specific path or access denied.
