Help with saved games

After re-installing the original sims and patching all my sims expansions i cracked all the games i then installed seasons and cracked that. the game works perfectly, but i cant seem to put my old save games into the game. When i play the game and save a game i dont know where the saved game is going. It is not going to user/documents/electronic arts/sims 3/saves

Where else could it be going? I've searched my entire macbook. If someone could figure this out, i would be able to copy my old saved games and put them into that folder where ever it is...

Did you copy your saved games before removing the sims 3 somewhere while re-installing?

How did you back up your saved games and where?

i copied the entire sims 3 folder from my documents to the desktop

Well, it has to be there unless you have deleted it. Have you tried to look for it with Spotlight?

yes i have searched and searched and i cant find where the game is saving things

Then you deleted it by mistake or something because when you uninstall the game, it erases everything unless you've saved it.
So... I don't think you have that folder anymore. Sorry

Don't you back up your files with Time Machine or something like that? It's a stupid question but maybe the time capsule save it in a back up copy :/

I dont back up any of my files. I dont have an external drive.
