sims 3 wont launch

I followed all of the instructions on the how to install the sims3 correctly page to the letter and when I click on the desk top icon, it opens up the launcher which says there was an error during startup and closes. When I click on the ts3w.exe file that I copied from the crack file in the fix, it says unable to start game service initialization failed. When I click on the ts3.exe file, it does nothing, a timer comes up for a second and thats it, nothing else. the game wont launch...I finally got everything to download, extract and install after hours and hours, Im almost ready to pull my hair out now, lol. HEEEELLLLP!

I did all of what it said and yes, it did have the old copies of games i no longer have on there. I got rid of them and re did the updating and fix but but am still getting the same thing as far as the launcher goes. also it still says unable to start game service initialization failed when I click the ts3w.exe

Try backing up and removing this folder: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims\

If that didn't work: did you rename, remove or move any of the installation folders?
Where did you download all your games from? (All Games4theworld or a modified installer?)
