sims 3 has stopped working

I have all the sims 3 expansions packs installed working except seasons and game version 15 0 135 01 8001 the only problem is that the game starts getting slow i think only in create an outfit mode freezes for a little and then says "The sims 3 has stopped working windows is trying to find solution" sth like that then the game closes please sims 3 has stopped working 2830496658

If you have seasons then you have to wait for the new patch

Hello,

Mods and Custom Content are extra stuff you add to your gameplay.
Usually Mods can be found here, if you have any: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods

I don't have mods but i have 474 custom content should i delete them? pale

The problem has started lately i have downloaded from sims recource, lorandia sims 3 and liana

Hello,

No, you don't have to delete them, just disable them for now. If they are packages, they're in the folder Admin mentioned. If they're sims3pack, their contents are in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup. Just Backup and remove both folders temporarily until you can confirm that they are, or aren't the problem.

However, if your problem started recently, can you say whether that was before or after you updated to patch 1.42 (if you did)? I'm asking because I was doing research yesterday for a problem I was experiencing and it turns out that patch 1.42 has a lot of loose end that were tied up with Seasons. Not that well I might add, but you may have to install Seasons and/or wait for the next patch before this issue goes away.

i don;t remember if i have updated to 1.42 patch is there a way to find out? I have cut the dcbackup folder and check if it works now then ill do the same with downloads thanks for your support

Well, with Seasons installed, we know your game is at 1.42 right now. But for future reference on how to check your base game version, you open up the launcher, and hover over the base game icon, in the bottom left corner. The little box that pops up will tell you what patch level you're using. Smile

can anyone please send me the link to downoload the update for seasons cause it will get to the end of the update and then say invalid file found. The game now that i have cut the dcbackup folder doesn;t get stuck and i don't know if it is totally fixed but it really is better Very Happy
