Just wondering - properly stupid question. Empty Just wondering - properly stupid question.

Post by Guest Sun 25 Nov 2012, 15:10

I can't find my coffee cup - see it?!

Sorry, but that was not the intentionally question that I wanted to ask.

But I finally returned from Pandora since Seasons entered my computer and werewolfes and other sims needed to live for a while.
Eventhough I hear Mister Torgue's angry screams in the background - haven't played that DLC yet.
...sorry....mindwandering....got triggerfinger...
..coff....coff.. (Harshly telling Claptrap to be quite)..sigh...

However I was just wondering about the Store Fixes you guys made, which I love -every thing works fine! ...well almost...hold that thought...
Every item are showed in game and so on.
But the Unawesome store fixes have me puzzled - what is that?
What does it do?

I wondering be cause I experience some minor glicthes here and there.
Nothing like the end of the world or stuff like that, just minor annoynance
And since you guys put a warning about not using that with the Awesome mod,
I can't help wondering if the same warning should be told with the NRAAS Storyprogression and mods alike?
Since it's okay to remove it, when someone has the Awesome Mod installed,
I'll try to play without it and see if there are an improvement in the gameplay and the minor glitches stops.

As I said in the titel properly stupid question and really not a gameproblem per say.
Just some chit chat and I found my coffe cup!
Deathtrap had it and wouldn't give it back before I returned to Pandora.
Luckly I have several coffee cups.

.....if I ever wonder about why people say I'm crazy or out of my mind - remind me to introduce them to Tiny Tina! (Or reread this tread) Razz

BTY the glitches are my couple does not seem to realize that they are moved in together, since that wish keeps showing up from both of them and
since they live together, I can't ask either of them to ask the other one to move in. (I couldn't get that interaction while they were dating
and stuff like that, so I used the NRAAS Mastercontroller and got a pop up showing that he moved in.....apperantly is not valid eventhough they
got a memory saying otherwise. But the Ask to move in interaction are visible when I see other sims)

And almost everytime they start to interact with one another, a pop up tells me that they just learned to know a vampire or werewolf and that's awesome or something like that.
They are like married and best friends and stuff like that.....and I though that Jack was stupid and out of his mind.....at least I got to kill him....that solution is not acceptable in Sims...

And my Butler keeps disappearing everytime I have guests. Even before my couple moved in together.
Almost acting like Mister Hammerlock and others alike when Claptrap arrives.
So after every visit I must call service again to get my Butler back.

But the top annoynances of them all is their obsession of two strangers - appearently paparazzies both of them or tourists, don't really recall and don't really care. (Tourists!!)
They keep getting the wish either gifting them or Jam with them.
I hate that!!

As I say minor glitches and not the end of the world stuff.
They could be related to the Unawesome store fixes or simply some new EA-must-be-annoying-and-can-not-fix-game-with-patch-without-destroying-something-else-at-the-same-time thingy.

And in case that you are wondering, what mods I'm using.

They are mostly NRAAS and Twoftmama - never experienced problems with them before and they are all up to date with the latest patch.

NRAAS:

Mastercontroller - all of them - I think
Storyprogression - most of them - none characterbuild extras like Nerds and stuffs.
Woohooer - all of them
Overwatch
Errortrap
Debugenabler
Antimagicscroll
Dresser
Porter
Register
Traveller
Mover

Twoftmama:

Better Bake Sale
Better Meals
Meals Anytime
Eating Cooking Time
Don't eat my plants
No Spoiled food for 60 days
Faster Vacation Home
Giant CAS Money Increase
No Pets in Subways
Gnomes can't use objects
Nectar Value Per Level
Plantastic Garden Mod
Sponge Bath Unlocked

Bluegenjutsu:

Better Bee Keeping Lite
More Traits

Shimrods:

Alchemy Elixirs No Ingredients

.....now I most return to Moonlight Falls - wondering about if Tiny Tina should appear as a sim....

#Edit

I forgot about the counters and fridges in Buy mode - just plain annoying they are.
They lag big time every time you choose one even if it is a new one fresh from catalog.
The same thing with the tops that matches the counter tops.

Another thing is the voice of a werewolf.
It's deep "naturally" however when turned back to sim shape, the voice is stll deep eventhough it's edited in CAS

I guess most of the glitches are EA and can be stopped by different mods from Twallan except from the counters and fridges ect. ect.

Hello,

I had 2 married sims a few days ago, they had been married for about 5 sim days and obviously had been living together for just as long when the female received a wish to move in with the male.

As for the unawesome storefix, that one is included for those who don't use awesomemod. That mod apparently fixes a number of glitches with store items so if you don't have the mod to fix it, you'll have the storefix.

The buy mode thing you're describing appears to be something with this patch level, we've had a number of people complaining about buy mode glitches.
Not sure about the werewolf, I uninstalled SN in an attempt to stop my game from crashing. Maybe that wasn't the cause though, so I intend to reinstall it if and only if a new patch is out, and it no longer crashes randomly.

Odd that I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one with the problem. But that just make me more mad at EA for not truly fixing their stuff.

Yeah, now that you do mention it. I do remember reading at their forum about Pescado updating Awesome Mod to fix different objects glitches.
So I'll try to use it again and see if their are any glitches on the return then.
I read that a friend of Twallan made a mod that fixes some clothning issues and made it so that some of them only could be worn with speciel clothe ect ect
Making the Progression sims look more normal...
The issues was some pregnancy added and the missing morph
Do you know if it's included?

The newest Store Fixes took care of that. Updated yesterday
I builded a new house last night - not for my sims, but for the others, since Storyprogression takes care of them and some of pop ups are complains about lack of good homes.

Now that you mention it I do recall you complaining about your computer.
So just relax, enjoy your sims and pray that you'll not get abducted IRL (Pregnant female sims does - just so you know)

I'll try starting a new sim and see my self if it happens again.
BTW I hate the werewolf look when they are turn - luckily I can change that with Mastercontroller.

Yeah but what is to be expected, I don't even quite meet the minimum requirements for the base game when it comes to my CPU and I have only 1 GB RAM and yet I insist to play the game with 4 EP's, a bunch of mods, all store content, some CC, and graphics settings on medium. So far I've sacrificed all that i wanted to sacrifice so I really shouldn't complain if it does lag or crash from time to time.

I recall having a tread or seen a tread somewhere about the Move In wish/want and LadyElDi was having it too and I found out the case of it by mention it in another forum - sorry, but I can't keep bugging you guys here, eventhough you're awesome! (You guys are without questions MATM )

Here is the quote from Bluegenjutsu from TFM's Naughty Sims Asylum

You have to have your sim talk to the other sim with a few of the
"sociable" types of interactions in the Friendly menu before you will
see the option to "ask to move in". That option only shows up if your
sim has the sociable mood set with the other sim. Examples are: Ask
about day, talk about weather, talking about any trait related subject
(choices depend on the traits of the sims talking). Chatting doesn't get
the sims to the sociable stage, it only gets them in the friendly
stage. The option to move in will not show up if sims are in the
romantic stage. Even though it should.

As for the wish to move in, I've had that problem since the beginning of
Sims 3, I think. Sims will get that wish for me, even if they've gotten
married before moving in or even if you have already asked them to move
in before and they did. I think it's a bug. I've never been able to get
that wish to fulfill.
