Multitab 6000 not working correctly. [SOLVED]

Hello,

Recently I've had this issue with the Multitab 6000 not working correctly. When she's listening to a tabcast nothing happens, and the moodlet doesn't show up. I had this issue before and the store content fix worked, but ever since I deleted it to get the new store content fix that you guys posted after seasons, it hasn't worked again. Can anyone help with this? Sad

Hello,

Make sure you've installed it correctly, this is the exact same store fix as before, only it fixes more. See if it works if you disable your other mods.

I'm pretty sure I have it installed right (the instructions are kind of confusing, since I use a mixture of sims3pack files and package files)... I know my mods aren't affecting anything either. So far I'm using the instructions for the sims3pack files and nothing is working.

Also, I've noticed that things like The Lucky Simolean Casino aren't showing up in the community lot bin to be placed, even though it is definitely installed. I honestly have no idea what's going on anymore. Suggestions?

So all of a sudden the multitab started working again and I have no idea what fixed it. All though, I'm still having the problem with the casino not showing up in the bin.

Did you buy a new Multitab6000 after installing the Store Fixes?

About the Casino, you have to uninstall it and reinstall it.
I had the same problem and with most of the lots from the store after Seasons, so I delete it all from DCBackup, DCCache - doing this makes all the install items disappear, so you have to reinstall it all!

Which I did last night - all 579 files from the Store and only took 4 of the time, making sure that every item was installed then by not making the computer and the sims 3 doing so much work and thereby not installing some content properly. It took me about 3 hours....

Hopefull by that I have learn to take copies of my files before patching and installing new expansion and extras - I hope Embarassed

Edit: Okay, I got what you said and it works now. The only thing I'm having problems with now is the new stove in Monte Vista not having any interactions.

Sob... so now I have double of all of my store content installed apparently. How do I fix this??? Nothing I'm trying is working :l

If some of your items are not showing up in the game but they are displayed as installed in the launcher, then you do this

I had the exact same problem you did with my worlds and items

Not only did my worlds come back but all the missing items as well

G4TW mods are the BEST!

Go in to the DCBackup folder and see, if you can find all the files named (2) they're the new installed, remove them, should do the trick

I dont see anything like that. Should I just delete them all again and reinstall them? Or will that give me a third copy of everything...?

Edit: Fixed it! The problem was that I had to delete the extras in the installed worlds folder.

Hello,

It is. But, it really shouldn't affect game play at all. But look in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Library to see if you have any duplicates.

Just a quick butt-in... The Store Fixes worked! I had the same problem with my premium content yesterday, none of it worked as it was supposed to and I found out it's because I made the mistake of deleting the ccmerged.package file inside DCBackup folder when I cleaned out my hard drive... So i got the fixes and voila! All my contents are up and running! (I only have .sims3pack files so it wasn't too hard) Thanks G4TW!!! bounce

I just spent 2 hours trying to fix the same issue, and it still didn't work. I followed all the instructions step by step and deleted and re-installed everything.
Now the thing I want to know is...
Is the reason why it's not working is because I'm still playing the same game file from before I did all of this?
Do I have to start a whole new game for this multitab to work?

I also seen that someone in a previous post on the same topic just update a new resource.cfg, how do I go about doing so?

Hello,

You don't have to start a new game. You may have to sell the existing multitab and buy a new one.

There's a current resourcefile in the framework you can download here. There's no need to install the entire framework, just grab the resourcefile to replace the one you're using.

It's also possible that you don't have the ccmerged package, doublecheck your DCBackup folder to make sure.

I just don't think it's going to work until they actually fix it with the next update. All my other premium items work except the Ice cream machine, but that's no worries for me, I enjoy the deep fryer more anyways.
