Sims 3 Seasons Problem
So I followed every single step I read from your site but I saw something's wrong. You said I need to replace these : in two palces.
First : in the base game folder ( done ).
Second : in the expansion's own folder. But in MY expansion pack's own folder there's nothing to replace :
I had downlaoded the game twice; each time from different sites and it's the very same thing.
Help ?

Re: Sims 3 Seasons Problem
You don't have to copy it to the installation folder for the expansions listed in the long folder name (first being "Seasons") - just the base game's installation location. So, in short, just copy it to the base game's installation directory and you're done. Are you having an issue playing the game? If so, we could use more details on what's going on and with that information we may be able to help you.

Re: Sims 3 Seasons Problem
Yes. This is exactly what my problem is. I replaced these things in the base game's folder and it loads perfectly. Then, after I chose a town where to start my sims life, it loads 50% and then it says ' Sims3 has stopped working. Windows is looking for a solution' Ofc I can wait even 2 days for it to find a solution because it won't.

Re: Sims 3 Seasons Problem
Windows searching for a solution hardly ever returns any results worth much anyhow. However, if you disable that (I can tell you how, but I need to know which version of Windows you're using) and give us details of the exception thrown we might be able to get you into the game. Otherwise the only real "solution" (which isn't a solution at all) that we can offer is to try reinstalling.

Re: Sims 3 Seasons Problem
I had already tried reinstalling a couple of times before posting. I usually have problems at installing sims packs but I can deal with them.
Still, this one got on my nerves. I use windows 7.
But there's something wrong with the Sims3 Launcher because there is no update to do even after I replace those things.
Will it help you figure it out if I'll just film from the start to the end how I install it and bla bla ?

Re: Sims 3 Seasons Problem
Doubt it. When a program stops responding, whether it's The Sims 3 or anything else that a debugger and source (unless you know assembly) isn't readily available for, there are really only two options. One requires more patience than most have (essentially you wait for the program to start responding or throw an exception - which could take hours, days, weeks or possibly longer) and the other requires reinstalling.

Re: Sims 3 Seasons Problem
Okay so. I reinstalled it ONCE AGAIN. I could finally fix the problem with the Sims3 Launcher ( right now I updated it and it shows I have the Sims3 Seasons now ).
But it still crashes saying it stopped working.

Re: Sims 3 Seasons Problem
I apologize, I got your thread mixed up with someone else's. I was thinking you had the unresponsive program issue instead of an actual crash.
Here's how you disable the "Windows is searching for a solution" so you can get details on the exception:
Click Start -> Control Panel -> System and Security -> Action Center -> Change Action Center Settings (on the left) -> Problem Reporting Settings (at the bottom)
I recommend the "Each time a problem occurs, ask me before checking for solutions" that way you still have the capability to allow windows to search for a solution, while also being able to get exception details when needed.
Once you've done that, start your game up and play as usual. Once it crashes you'll see a new button on the crash dialog on the lower left hand side that says "Show Details" or "Details" (I can never remember which). If you could copy and paste the information from there we may be able to help you get it resolved.

Re: Sims 3 Seasons Problem
Hello,
You don't have to play without your mods
Just find out which one causes the problem, and update it.
