Sims Medieval Blue Screen of Death
I've had great experience with your downloads; I have Dragon Age Origins and also all of the Sims 3 + Expansion Packs.
I recently downloaded and began playing, everything going smoothly. I have most of the buildings, and never had a problem with it, but when I tried to build the Smithy, the game started switching from fullscreen to windowed and back, and then I got the Blue Screen of Death error, and my computer restarted.
After this happened the first time, I downloaded and installed the ultimate fix and updated to the latest version (I did so yesterday), but when I tried to build the smithy again, the same error happened. Help, please!

Hello there,
I'm not so good with BSoD's, but I think our Mod m4dm4n is. He's away for a while, but when he's back, I'm sure he'll find his way to this post.
Anyway, you can try this to see if your PC can run the game at all: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/

Hi (:
Thanks for answering, and I checked that my computer could run it before I downloaded it.
I guess I'll wait, then...

Usually you'll get an error with something like 0x000000xx
Try to Google that error and see if you can find any solutions.

Re: Sims Medieval Blue Screen of Death
Have you checked for updated video card and sound card drivers? I guess your playing on XP as the reboot screen is blue as these days we don't get blue in most cases. If so some people have reported these issues with XP even if the video card and other Hardware meet the requirements. Some have solved it with updating both drivers (I can't find anyone reporting having just updated one or the other to get it fixed so I am not positive if its on or the other). Make sure if your using an Intel chip-set you have the recommended additional RAM.
If you know for sure you have updated these drivers around the time you got the game - as their were new driver releases for many of the popular video card and chip-sets in March.
This issue was reported and EA said it fixed this in the latest patch but it was also the same issue that happened when there was older drivers in use - so just getting the 1.2.3 version installed might not fix it.
The other workaround is to turn off reflections and/or sound and see if that will stop the crashing.
Since the game did not crash after all your other game play I would assume that you got the ultimate fix in correctly without using the original crack so that the 1.2.3 update installs correctly.
