Problem with Item..

Ok, After i updated my game with the newest update and fixes, I went into my Buy catalog to find that the new wedding cake that is available in the Monte Vista world has now been replaced with a space marker orb rather than the regular image. So i thought it must have been a mistake or something. I turned off my game and back on again, Now this time, there are two places for the same item. One with the actual picture and the other with the orb marker again.
Has this happened to anyone else and if it has ...should i expect the worse?
And more importantly, How can i get rid of it?

Sorry for the late reply!
Try navigating to this folder: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Thumbnails and removing all files in there.

Then start the game again and let us know the result. Good luck!

I did what you told me to and it didnt work.
I am including a picture of what i am talking about.
Below you will see the orb that i am talking about and the actual item its imitating on the left side.

That actually happened to me too, but I never used that wedding cake (my sims tend to get married right after getting engaged ) so I'm not sure if it causes any issues, but it didn't affect anything else with the game. That orb always reminded me of the World Adventures tomb signals though, which is odd.

It might be a minor glitch with Monte Vista..who knows...
I am going to try and use the cake and see what happens. I will report back here later.

Update:
I tried using both the orb and the actual cake.
They are both interactive but neither one work properly.

You cant see the cake on the plate from either item and i had to reclick on them both to get the sims to interact with it.

But it doesnt cause any harm to my game from what i can tell.

I was thinking about that as well..but its apart of Monte Vista. And for some reason it doesn't show up on my downloads list in the launcher.

No it doesn't.
After installing a certain amount of things in my game from your wonderful site, they just stopped showing up in the launcher but show up in game.

Ah, that's an old known issue: items showing up in-game, but not on the launcher. Usually nothing to worry about.
