cannot pick the item...

I put the item from sim's bag on floor.
and I tried to select item, but I couldn't.
it isn't activated. I can't do any action about that item.
there's the item, I can see that, but I can't do anything.
What's the problem?;-;
please help me...

(I setup all of expansion packs except item packs.)

it's an apple.
and I had this problem early though that's little different after installing island paradise.
there were nothing but I don't put the items there.
at that time, the house was a houseboat. now not houseboat but normal house.

I just thought mods may make problem.
I haven't play without them yet.
so I will try to play without mod. but I wonder, if I clear cache files and play without mod, existing error will disappear on the same save file?
and it happen only on isla paradiso. (since 1.55ver)

Usually clearing caches solve crashing and loading issues, but not specific glitch, but it's a good measure to always clear the caches.

Does this glitch only happen in one save? Can you create a new save (preferably Isla Paradiso) and see if there is any difference?

Not in one save.
Before, same problem happened and I quit the game with not saving.
at that time, no save file existed about that neighborhood. I had to start new game.
I think maybe it's because of slider hack or others... I changed the sliders when I played game after long time with installing Island paradise.
because I didn't play sims for long time(not really long but enough time to change for sims world...), there are many changes in my mod folder.
I nearly give up. and I really thank you for making effort to solve this problem.

Hello,

I suggest you rename the folder C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and place the saves from the old saves to the new saves. Try to see if there are any differences.
