Question Pertaining To Installing Outdoor Living...
Greetings...
I first want to say THANK YOU to everyone that has played a part in putting up The Sims 3 base game and all of the EPs and SPs for us to download through here - as well as taking time out of your busy schedules to answer all of our questions! My wife suffered a stroke some time back and she is unable to work. Playing The Sims 3 gives her so much enjoyment, nearly eliminating her stress of no longer being able to work. Thank you so much! Unfortunately, i have run into a problem with installing the Outdoor Living Stuff pack. Well, it's not a problem, but i am seeing a possible re-occurance of having to uninstall and reinstall everything - like i did with World Adventures.
I have the base game and every EP and SP installed except Katy Perry - and of course OL Stuff. I followed every step on the https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly thread, and everything is working fine. I have used the Installation Guide in each download in order to install each pack. Am i doing this correctly? In other words, is that how i do each game (along with following what is in the how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly thread)? I am asking because i noticed for the OL Stuff install i have to do the whole "Start"-"Regedit"-Changing the number on the SKU thing again. I had to un and reinstall everything with World Adventures...i don't want to do that again.
Can anyone give me a walk through on what i need to do here? Or do i need to follow the Installation Guide - and most likely uninstall and reinstall everything? I read on here where someone wrote that all you have to do is install each EP or SP and then do the fix to the Sims 3 base game folder - not the folder of the pack you are installing. Also, i have seen several replies on here that you should never have to uninstall / reinstall.

Re: Question Pertaining To Installing Outdoor Living...
I would try to install it just like the rest of the games, the only reason you should have to mess with anything in the registry (regedit) is if you get an invalid region error.
Also, why did you have to uninstall and reinstall for W.A.?

Re: Question Pertaining To Installing Outdoor Living...
Ok i will try to install OL stuff the way i did the others.
The reason i had to uninstall and reinstall when trying to install WA is because i kept getting an error when i was trying to do the patch...something about "gorilla" or something. I looked it up on google. I couldn't figure things out, so i just uninstalled and reinstalled.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Question Pertaining To Installing Outdoor Living...
Hello,
Sorry for the late reply!
The "Gorilla" error doesn't pop up if you follow these instructions without skipping any steps: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly (And notice that you may skip all "# Crack" folders)
Is there anything else we can currently help you with?
