Custom content not showing in game

This goes for clothing, worlds and items. I know I have them downloaded and installed because they are in the collections/downloads folders depending on the file type but they are not showing up in the game and especially the worlds aren't showing up when I click new game either, I've removed all content and re downloaded to see if there was a problem with it or something but it's not. This only seemed to happen when I downloaded 70's, 80's, 90's stuff which is weird. Does anyone know why it's not showing up?

Just for future reference, there isn't a need to open a new topic every time you have a different problem or question. If someone has an open topic, then we prefer for them to keep everything in that one topic, to keep the forum from getting messy. This also helps keep in mind what they've done already, and what their computer is like, all of the technical things that we ask. Even, or especially, with those small questions that take just a few words to reply to.

However, did you update to 1.50 already? And are these items compatible with whichever patch level you are on?

yes I'm updated to 1.5 and yes they are compatible. I used the manual update from the sims 3 website, is it an issue because it's not from here?

That's not the issue. The issue is that the crack you likely have in your game is not compatible with the update. You are using the ultimate fix from us, right?

yes I am.

Then that error won't go away until your crack is updated. Which is what most of the site is waiting for right now, so for this one, you can do nothing but wait for Admin to upload the updated fix.

Where did you get the Custom Content from? Does your game run fine now? (So no errors when you try to play)
