Cannot load this save game??

I played a game for a while yesterday and saved it after. Now today when I try to load it, it says 'Cannot load this save game. It may have been saved with expansion pack data that is no longer present on this system.' and is whited out.

I still have all my games and content and all my other save files are completely fine and load properly. I am running on Windows 7 and I have no CC.

How do I fix this? Thanks!

I tried renaming the backup file, but that didn't work.

Sorry for the late reply!
To what did you rename the backup file? You should backup the normal and the ".backup" file and then remove the old one and remove the ".backup" extension from the backed up save folder name.

I did that. My backup is renamed to Gypsy.sim3, and I moved my original game to my desktop. It didn't work I still can't play or click on my game.

Are you sure you didn't (accidentally) remove any of the expansion packs?
See if the ones that you originally installed are still lit up on your game's Launcher.

Yeah, I checked. I still have all my content and I doubled checked to make sure I can still access all the same content and expansions on my games.

Maybe the new updated fix will help? How do I download that? Same as I did last time, just replace all files?
