"Base game incompatible with current expansion". [SOLVED]
Evening Ladies and gents,
Had a good look around the forums to see if anyone was having the same issue and it's been mentioned but not addressed in its own thread. So, without further ado, here is my issue.
I have the Sims 3 retail base version and installed that first. After that, I downloaded High End Loft Stuff, Fast Lane Stuff and lastly the 70's 80's and 90's stuff pack courtesy of you guys here at Games4TheWorld.
I followed the instructions within the thread detailing how to install the Sims 3 and your expansion packages, so the instructions thread here, before updating with the 1.48 manual patch to avoid the unfortunate issues with the new 1.50 update. As instructed (step 4) I then added the necessary data from the fix. The process was smoother than super smooth ice cream, however when it came to actually playing the game I was told by the ever-so-helpful game launcher that my current expansion pack was incompatible with the base game.
Figuring I might have goofed I tried a second time to make absolutely sure I wasn't making any mistakes (and by that I mean I had my other half read the instructions out loud, one by one before checking I had everything in the correct place). Sadly, no joy there either. So I uninstalled everything and tried following the readmes for each and every expansion I installed before installing the manual patch and finally following the instructions in the Sims 3 ultimate fix you guys have provided us with. Still no joy.
I can safely say that each and every time I have installed your content, I have done so according to your well written and user friendly instructions. However, I still appear to be having this issue.
If anyone can point me to an error I have made or suggest something by way of a fix, I would be incredibly grateful.
EDIT: I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit, and have the complete.sims.3.store.february.2013.package.and.decrapified.sims3pack.files custom content pack by rachelstoolbox downloaded from thepiratebay.se
I was able to run the CC pack without issue beforehand and am unsure as to whether or not this would be incompatible with the files and fixes offered here. If it is and I simply haven't found the thread detailing such, feel free to give me a slap.

Re: "Base game incompatible with current expansion". [SOLVED]
Re-downloaded the manual patch and the ultimate fix. Installed everything again and now the game works perfectly. That and the launcher doesn't throw a monumental hissy fit about the base game using an earlier patch when compared to the expansions I have installed!
I did also found that installing my CC packs had to be done after your downloads, patches and fixes. A curious second install (After I'd gotten everything working and knew for certain that it would work.) lead me to find that installing the CC packs first simply causes the game and launcher to stop running at all.
Thank you ever so much for your help, and keep up the brilliant work!
Really appreciate it! : D
