Can't uninstall Sims 3

So, I foolishly installed Sims 3 in wrong Local Disc, and, of course, now I don't have enough memory. Naturally, I tried to uninstall it, and succeeded, when it comes to extensions. But, when I try to uninstall base game it keeps showing following message:

An error [-5005: 0x8000ffff] has occurred while running the setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor: Electronic Arts

Now, I did everything the message says, except contacting the vendor, of course. But it still won't work.

Try restarting your PC and then uninstall.
