Game doesn't update before installing University life

so, i run the setup to install university life extension and when the install shield appears, i start the installation by clicking next, then it shows that the game needs to update then i click yes so it can updates.
Then it shows "Updating. Please Wait" and if i leave it like that, it freezes and the whole computer freezes too and im forced to unplug the computer.
I tried to do it all again, then it froze again and i used task bar manager to close it and started the setup again and WinRar freezes when it gets to 50% more or less. :L
I also tried to update the game using the launcher but it stops and says it wasn't possible to update.
I downloaded the base game and the expansions from you. i've applied the ultimate fix and the game works out fine.
I just can't update this one because it freezes all the time!
Please help me with this :L I tried all day to install it and it doesnt work :L
