Can't attend any parties in University Life

I'm new to University Life and I got a notification telling me that I was invited to a party, so I clicked "Attend Party" when the notification came up. My Sim will go to the lot where the party's being held, but she can't enter the house or do anything else (when I click on the house it just says "no actions available").

I've also tried going to Map View and clicking the icon with balloons (which I'm guessing indicates a party) but again, it says that no actions are available.

What am I doing wrong? I've already missed three parties (went to the location but couldn't enter) and I'm really getting frustrated! Any help would be appreciated

Ctrl+shift+c, Type in Testingcheatsenabled true
Then face your camera and shift click on the house and click teleport here. It will allow the furniture to load and the walls will come down.

That works for me if i cant enter someones home and I also do this to enter clubs before the opening time.

If you're using any mods, try playing without them.

read also the notices good,if you get the message the party starts in a hour it really means it starts in a hour,you don`t have to show up right away because then it will not let you enter the party
