1. how do i know if i got origins launcher?
2. Why do i have to have either of those packs specificly? - Just curious i only have seasons downloaded atm
3. Why is the reason i have to put all of the other ep .exe things in seperately but generations and life town?

Also in addition to this, when i open the launcher it says

"Unable to connect to Origin"
so how do i get origin? :/

That video is very out of date now. You just need any expansion released after generations. You don't need to apply all of the extra folders, just the crack.

Read the following instructions very closely.

You don't need Origin, but if you want it, just go to origin.com and download it.

So all of those expansions names in one folder which i can't read all of, i only need to extract once in the sims 3 base folder?
The other expansions need to be done in their own folders for now?

Also if i download one expansion: Seasons and do the crack bit.
Then download another expansion: University Life.
will i need to do the crack bit again?

Don't even worry about the folders with any of the game's names in them. Just the #crack folder.
