sims 3 pets unrecognizable video card. [SOLVED]

Hi There!

For day's I have been trying everything known to mankind, to fix this issue. I've downloaded and installed both versions of Pets expansion that G4TW has to offer and I've read everything there is on trying to fix the error that I've been getting "unrecognizable video card, settings set to high" Text is missing so I'm not able to change the settings, and the towns on the list no longer show up. I've went into properties and changed "EN-US", I've changed the properties on TS3X to windows 7 and still nothing, my game is fully updated, I updated my video card, not sure what else to do that is left.

The other expansion's worked fine prior to installing Pet's (University, Sweet Treats, etc) for some reason my laptop hates Sims 3 Pets.. . Sorry If this isn't the right place to post this, though I'm pretty sure it is.. Thank You for your time, I just want to get the game to work and play Sims 3 Pets. Sad

Oh yeah, I've even tried changing the .sgr file but really didn't understand how to do that too well. sims 3 pets unrecognizable video card. [SOLVED] 2830496658

Hello there,

I know that this may sound obvious, but are there problems with your system requirements for the game ? In case of doubt, read up on this article here.

Thanks for posting the link, my graphics card seems to handle all other expansions but sims 3 pet's for some reason, I'm able to play all of them and have all of them on my laptop without any issues but as soon as I try to install pets again, I get the video card error and it disables the game to where I have to uninstall the games, for some reason as long as pets is not on my laptop all other expansions play just fine...=/

Did you try updating the drivers for your graphic card?

Yep, tried updating them. Except the problem fix itself out somehow lol..after uninstalling and reinstalling a few times I finally got the expansion to work, not sure how exactly but just glad it works now. Smile
