Need a little help please! Sims 3 pets will start up but I cannot get into any towns! [SOLVED]

Sorry to be a bother and I'm not quite sure if this is the right place but I need a bit of a hand. I gave the other posts a lookie but I didn't see anything quite like my problem so I decided to post something.

I can get into the game just fine. I click on the first play button on the launcher an it will run through the little 'loading' sequence. Then, it goes to what town I wish to play as but no matter what I click it won't open up at town and I cannot seem to make a new one either. I can close and open the '...' button in the corner and most of the options work (except for options ironically).

Could somebody lend me a hand? I'm doing the face at the comp and I'm pretty sure its back.

This should be your menu screen:

You select your town and click on the bottom button.
Is your menu different?

Nope, this is an Internet pic. Am at work so no Sims on my laptop...

I figured out the problem. I had downloaded the expansions in the wrong order.

Have a new problem but I'll post another thread for it. Thanks for your help!
