Expansion Help

Ok so I downloaded the torrent for Sims 3 and i started playing with it and it works great, no issues. So i decided to get an expansion pack so I downloaded the University pack and I have all of it installed. I read your post about how to install it correctly but it doesn't seem to work. I can still play the base game but I cant seem to figure out a way to play the University pack. Can you help me? Maybe step by step or something?

Are you getting any errors or anything? Also, what's the loading screen that comes up for you?

This loading screen. Does it show University Life or just the Base Game?

It shows just the base game, not University Life.
