Sims2Exception launching problem?

(ehem, considering there's no Sims 2 forum I hope it's okay to post here... sorry if I'm wrong! :newfag:)

Hey guys, so I'm having this problem with the Sims 2 and I couldn't find a solution anywhere. Lately I downloaded The Sims 2 and The Sims 2 University. I played the game for a few moments and everything seemed to work just fine. Then I installed The Sims 2 Seasons and when I launched the game it was as if I didn't have the University expansion ! Naturally I uninstalled Seasons to make sure University still worked but when I launched the game it was still the same thing : all the objects from the University EP had disappeared, I couldn't send my sims to the university anymore... I uninstalled and reinstalled both my games multiple times but whenever I tried to launch The Sims 2 University the process crashed before the game launched. Instead, these two files appeared in my The Sims 2 University/TSBin folder :

Sims2Exception 2013.05.22 20.12.30.mdmp
Sims2Exception 2013.05.22 20.12.30.txt

(the date and hour differing every time)

I get this every single time and I've tried using different cracks and different game downloads but I still get the same problem. How could I fix it? I use Windows 7.

EDIT// I just realized that whenever my Sims 3 game crashes, I also get .mdmp files and text files named "xcpt DELL-PC (my computer's name) 13-06-03 21.23.55" (exact date and hour it happened) Does this happen to everyone when their game crashes or am I the only one who gets this? ...
I'm thinking of buying more RAM to fix this Sims 3 crashing once and for all but I'm not sure it'll fix the Sims 2 problem, still looking for a solution...

You're confusing two games here. For The Sims 3, please open a new topic.

As for your The Sims 2 problem, try running the game as an administrator.

Don't worry, I already opened a topic for my Sims 3 problem. I only added that info about .mdmp files because I get it when both games crash and I'm curious if I'm the only one to get those or if it happens to other people when their game stops working.

I ran the game as administrator but it didn't work, the process still stopped before the game launched :/

I tried GameBooster but the game still doesn't launch :/ I have no idea where this is coming from...
Now that I think of it, it all started after I installed Seasons and I've had some trouble uninstalling the game multiple times. Is there any chance there are "leftover" files corrupting the game or something like that? I cleaned the registry just to be sure but I'm not sure that fixed it. Is there a software I can use to clean up after uninstalling? lol

That is possible, yes. Where exactly did you get your game from?
You can use Your uninstaller! Pro from www.games4theworld.org to completely remove games and software. It'll also remove any leftover files, just be sure to use the "Super Mode".

I downloaded it from ThePirateBay. I read the comments and the torrent seemed fine from what other users said but I honestly have no idea what went wrong :/

I will uninstall all the games using your tool then reinstall them and see if that works. I'll keep you updated !

By the way, is there any way to remove leftover files from The Sims 2 Seasons? As I said I already uninstalled it so it's not in the Installed Programs list.
