Hello,

Please hover over over the base game icon in the launcher. Give me the number of the base game.

Troubles with manual patch. [SOLVED] Empty Re: Troubles with manual patch. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Wed 03 Jul 2013, 16:50

I have been trying to do so. Every time I try I get the error message "can not determine the current version of the application, setup is closed."

//EDIT

Also, my whole problem is that I can't update. Using the one through the launcher leads to the usual "invalid file" error, and the manual one gives the error message I mentioned before.
Help! I would really like to be able to play by the weekend. Thank you for your help in advance.

Ok, if your OS is in English, you could try my new tool (see this topic).
Click the "I want to update..." button, then retry using the Manual Patch.
Then click the second button!

I recently (a few days ago) did the Ultimate Fix, and I've done it correctly before. Should I download the ultimate fix again and use this tool?

Hello,

Of course. The Ultimate Fix is renewed every time a new patch is released. Apply the Ultimate Fix and then the manual patch.

I know the ultimate fix is updated when a new patch is released, and I had downloaded it a few days ago and did it then. What I mean is that is it worth it to download it AGAIN (the same one) and use this new tool.

If this doesn't work, should I try a fresh reinstall of everything? I'm getting pretty desperate here...
If so, could someone direct me on instructions on how to do so?

Alright, I got it to update. Turns out I needed to run it as the administrator. Sorry for all the trouble, and thank you for your help.
