Is there a downloadlimitation for my internet when I download torrents like movies and games with µTorrent?

Hello,

Do you mean if there is a limitation in terms of how many gigabytes of stuff you can download ? Basically that depends on what your contract with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) says. In many countries nowadays, you have internet rates which allow "unlimited" downloading.

As far as I'm concerned, I actually once asked my ISP (some years ago) what they mean by "unlimited" - and the answer I got was that as long as my downloading doesn't "stretch the resources of the ISP" (sorry if this is a bad translation - English is not my first language), then everything will be fine.

So if you have such a contract, then you practically don't have to worry about limits. However, in some countries (like the US), there are some ISP's who might terminate your contract if they catch you while downloading illegally, but I guess that this is another topic then.

Plus for that, keep in mind if you don't seed and just leech, trackers will block you so you will have slow download with torrents.



ISP gives you plans, there you can find out what your internet plan is. If you don't pay the ISP but your family does, then ask them.


Some ISP's don't mind if you hack or whatever you do as much as you don't hack them.


Some ISP's don't mind if you download illegal movies or games, as much as you don't hack and don't harm anybody.


Some ISP's (like Carlos G. said).


Always remember that you can encrypt what you do by using protocol Https:// instead of http://



With google use this: https://encrypted.google.com/

Lol, that's not going to prevent Google from spying on what you search for.
If you care about that, use https://duckduckgo.com/ instead! Very Happy
