Hello everyone,

In order to fix the "The setup has detected that the regional install code for the sims 3 is different than what this expansion requires" error, go to Application > The Sims 3 > Show Package Content > Content > Resources> transgaming> c-drive> program files> electronic arts > The Sims 3 > Game > Bin


Now open Default.ini with a text editor. Scroll all the way down to the bottom where it says GameVersion = 1.8.25.003001 and change the last digit to 7 (Or try different combinations, though 7 should do the trick)
So an example would be: GameVersion = 1.8.25.003007     - Save and close the file and you're good to go.
