Sims 3 World Adventures Regional Install Code help Empty Sims 3 World Adventures Regional Install Code help

So I downloaded World Adventures but then I got this message "The setup has detected that the regional install code for The sims 3 is different than what this expansion requirs. This product requires the The Sims 3 to have the same regional code in order to be installed."

And I really don't know what to do.

Hello,


Type the Windows key + R on your keyboard, and in the small window that pops up type regedit and hit enter. Now if you have a 64-bit Windows, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Wow6432Node -> Sims -> The Sims 3. 


If your Windows is a 32-bit version though, the location is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Sims -> The Sims 3.


Under "The Sims 3", double-click on the SKU value on the right and change the number in the window that pops up to either 1 or 2, depending on what shows up. Save the changes (just click on "OK"), and exit the "registry editor". Re-start the installation of World Adventures. Good luck !
