LAA problem. [SOLVED] Empty LAA problem. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sun 04 Aug 2013, 06:56

Okay, so my sims 3 keeps crashing. I've tried everything. Recently I tried out the crash log analyzer and it told me that the problem was Large Address Aware. I did what I was told to do, to download the LAA software. Then I did the things said here: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Insufficient_Memory_Crashes#Step_3:_Allow_more_memory_to_applications

But it was still crashing!

The free memory used will not exceed to at least 100mb Sad I've did the bcdedit thing but it still crashes.

Pls help.

Btw, Ive also done https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-updated-on-14-07-2013 everything here Sad

Hello,

Are you playing the game on a 32-bit or 64-bit computer OS ? If it's 64-bit, then all of this "LAA" is obsolete anyway.

If you have 64-bit, apply the "4 GB patch" - and that should help you. But if you have only 32-bit, I'm not sure if there's much that you can do. If you can't upgrade to 64-bit, then you could try to de-activate a few background processes (with the "Task manager"). Also, you might even consider un-installing a few expansions that you don't like anymore.

Moreover, it does help a little bit to reduce the "complexity" of your homeworld: so it would be a good idea to play in a rather small world, thán in one of these gigantic (custom) worlds. Also, try bulldozing a few unnecessary lots in your hometown.

And you might have a look at this topic here too: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t11543-sims-3-error-code-12

Look at my suggestions on hot to delete the "memories" of Sims, I'm sure that in your case this can help too (even though your problem is not the "error 12").
