SIMS 3 crack & create-a-sim problem.

So, I've got Sims 3 base game, and I wanted to have Sims 3 Supernaural. So I tried the crack, I did everything correct, placed the crack in the correct file. Everything worked fine, I got to play for a bit. But when I try and download something from the exchange the game would just get stuck on the create-a-sim loading page. It would load and everything but it'll stay like that forever. So I thought that it's because I needed to update my sims 3, once I did however, it would say that it has a disk failure or unable to read disk or something. And I thought of just updating it manually before I download Supernatural crack, once everything was finished, I clicked on the play button (even the one from the file) nothing would appear. I unistalled everything then reinstalled. So, I've read multiple threads and thought that the custom content was corrupted. So i did a little test to see.
I unistalled the whole sims 3, and only installed the sims 3 base. I downloaded the same exact custom content (a sim), and loaded the create-a-sim. It worked fine, it didn't just stay on that loading page.
I tried installing any expansion pack. And then itll just get stuck again.

Now I'm thinking that maybe its the update thats not compatible with the expansion pack or something, But i definitely know that it's not the exchange items. It's just not working together at all.

Please help me ): I want to play my expansion pack with some custom content.

Hello,

Fistly, not all 'custom content' can be safely installed. Wink

But for now, try to go to the following location: My documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3. There, delete the following stuff:

CASPartCache.package, scriptCache.package, compositorCache.package, and simCompositorCache.package

Then re-start the game and see if you still have the problem.

You should always delete these files after installing mods/CC, after updating your base game and expansions.
