Sims 3 Origin Doubts. [SOLVED]
Hello,
I want to know if I can make use of the sims3pack files with clothes, worlds, etc., downloaded in the websites I was founding, and from TPB, the paid collection sets from the official Sims 3 page with my legal Origin Sims 3 or I can't make use of these additional items so I won't have any problems?
Thanks for the attention:D

If they are corrupted/incompatible with The Sims 3 updated version (1.55), then it's okay to download them. Be sure to read this before installing these sims3packs as they may not be decrapified.

Thank you for the reply.
I understand what you said and I'll try to add them to see if they're compatible. But there won't be any problem with my Origin account and legal stuff if I install collection sets that I have downloaded with uTorrent and other sources? That's my concern. I don't want any problem with EA :\

No installing those packs will not affect your Origin account and the Origin launcher doesnt check for installed CC, it leaves that up to the game itself.

Re: Sims 3 Origin Doubts. [SOLVED]
Nice, but will I need that file Resource.cfg I think to make them appear in the launcher to install them? Or just put the sims3pack files in the Download folder is enough?
//EDIT
BTW, thank you for the fast replies

And you have to put the ".sims3packs" into the "Downloads" folder first, THEN use the launcher to install them (go to "Downloaded items" and click on the "Install" button).
Or you can use "CC Magic" (google for that).

The .sims3pack in the downloads folder is enough. the resource.cfg file is for how your Mods folder loads the .package files

Re: Sims 3 Origin Doubts. [SOLVED]
So I don't need to use CC Magic for that purpose right? One other doubt surged, sorry. Worlds can be installed too, golden ones too without any problem? The only thing I won't install is the expansions of course lol

Re: Sims 3 Origin Doubts. [SOLVED]
If you use our expansions you'll have no problem with your Origin account. If your comfortable with CC magic then its really a better installer than the Sims3 launcher.

I would have said that it's a matter of taste, but since I installed the latest base game update (version 1.55), I cannot open my launcher anymore. So I have to use CC Magic until the launcher gets fixed.
If the launcher works for you, you can basically choose how you want to install.
And yes, the "golden ones" can be installed too.

Re: Sims 3 Origin Doubts. [SOLVED]
These are awesome news
So I'll try CC Magic to see if it suits me better at installing than the Sims3 Launcher.
The only thing I didn't understand is, I can install expansions that it won't affect the Origin account? But if I'm logged in the game won't it be regognized they aren't original copies of those expansions?

Re: Sims 3 Origin Doubts. [SOLVED]
As long as at least one of your games is registered it doesnt matter. I've bought about half of my Sims 3 games but the rest I have gotten right here and have never had any problems with my Origin/EA account. My Showtime came from here but I can still send my sims to other players because I have several of the Sims3 games registered with EA

Re: Sims 3 Origin Doubts. [SOLVED]
So if there is no problem at all in using the expansion packs I'll try to install them and use the ultimate fix so I can have all again and have more fun with them. Thanks again for the reply
