So Applied Patch and Now!!!!!!! [SOLVED]

Hi All

Well after a week of hell trying to get the newest EP and Patching the game a lot of solid advice from you guys here, I got my game be it I lost everything and had to start again working
so played it and it was a bit sticky every few minutes, Restarted the game and my game started as if i was just entering the game for the first time and my character gets bounced from the PC to outside to greet the Uni Mascot then back to PC then back out to the mascot after a few times of this my game starts and she has no friends no knowledge to speak of, I noticed one mod I was using was a possible cause so I removed it but the game went to very very slow motion I reintalled Twallans ErrorTrap and the game wouldnt load so I removed it again and the game wouldnt start and after several times of searching what the issue was I turned it off really fedup with it, the next day I went back removed the Error trap mod and the game loaded perfectly except a bit Jerky stopping and freezing then starting a few minutes later then repeating this process again and again till enough was enough and I turned it off, so this is my problem what can becausing the game to be jerky and restarting everytime like its the first time ??? can anyone help Help

Hello,
Can you please rename The Sims 3 folder in My Documents>Electronic Arts to something like "The Sims 3.old"(it doesn't matter)? And then open the launcher and close it, this will make new fresh The Sims 3 folder. Now take saves and mods folder from The Sims 3.old folder to new folder launcher created and try running your game again.

I have done this three times now and still my game starts like I have never played it before it brings up with there are new towns available do you wish to move to a new town now? I get the message for the smart phone users and the Uni Mascot drops by to drop off the uni pack I now have 13 of these I had ten weather stones in my game until I deleted all of them but still when I save and exit I lose everything and everybody she knew even romantic interests are gone but her skills stay her lifetime rewards stay its just her expeiriences are lost and even some objects from her backpack like her boat water ski it was working perfectly until I installed the latest EP pluspatch its very frustrating can anyone help Help

If you have all Sims 3 EP's & SP's & u have a normal computer or a slow one then of course it will be jerky especially if you are playing in a large world like Isla Paradiso.

Not sure if it's possible to a game to ''restart'' by itself Suspect

Im really sorry, I was getting frustrated with all the glitches, basically I updated and patched sims 3 to 1.55 added Island Paradiso,
When I start my Game I go through the opening screens that you get, when you create a new character, I get prompts like, there are New towns added would you like to move to a new town?, then the other onescome up The mscot for UNiversity comes to visit my sim leaving the UNi Pack,I get the flash box about smart phone users, and my game generates a new weatherstone telling me to take a look at its location. my sim, no matter how many times I have played the same sim she gets these prompts, every day or night when I go on to play,
I renamed my sims 3 folder to .old prompting a new folder then moved my saves and mods and downloads over but still I get this glitch it wont pass Leisure day every time I play
The game wont go past leisure day or miss these prompts, my sim keeps her skill levels plus her lifetime rewards but she has no friends and when I go into UNiversity she is the only one there. No Tutors no other sims except two that have froozen out side her door and cant be removed. so now Im frustrated about this because I have renamed my sim3 folder three times and stilll I get them any Ideas ? I can save the game several times during play and it saves ok but a soon as I exit quit or leave the game I need to go through all this again when I load it up. My gamr prior to Island Paradiso was great no glitches after patch es and updates its gone wonky

@Joker Its not that kind of jerky, its stopping then starting freezing for 5 minutes my PC is A Good one Touch screen windows 7 high graphics good processor I close down other things before I play in case its conflicting but its not. The game is stopping and starting my sim walks out of the water zooms to the Uni mascot then zooms to the water again and back To te Mascot

Let's try this here first: about your University problem (your sim being the only sim there), try to install the following NRAAS mods: ErrorTrap, Overwatch and Traveler. Afterwards, travel to the university town and see if anything changed.

If this doesn't work, I suggest you uninstall The Sims 3 and other expansions via Revo Uninstaller or by following this. Be sure you have cleared all registry entries by using the Uninstaller or following this.

What exactly do you mean by that - you have to "go through all of this again" ? At first I didn't pay too much attention to that detail, but now I think this could be more important.

I mean I have to go through the game as if my sim was just created and gets all the prompts e.g there are new twons would you like to move to one? there is new community lots to place place them or don't place, them my sim will have no friends from the game i was playing the night before, no romantic interests, and as soon as it reached leisure day it repeats liesure day like groundhog day,

I installed Nrass overwatch traveller, and error trap and took my sim to university there were others there this time thank you, but I ended up deleteing 25/30 graduation Gnomes and the calander is stuck in Sat with the red circle round it the days move along mon through friday but the red circle stays on Saturday. I am about to reload my game and will update you one any other changes if any.

Hello again,

The thing with the calendar and the day with the red circle is something normal. This "red-circled day" is some sort of "holiday" (don't know if this is the right word in English for this).

But your other problems (missing relationships, etc.) seem very serious, and I'm not sure at the moment about that. Have you already tried to make a new savegame with new sims ? And then see if the same happens there.

I have just played my game, i saved it in the University last evening, my sim had a romantic interest but as is what happend before she had no friends, and she had sat her finals I left it playing till the monday after but she never got the chance to get her results or leave the University, I moved her back to the Isla Paridiso she has married now I have just saved my game and Im hoping that they will both be there when I next play, again I had to delete 30ish Graduation Gnomes when she was at the Uni no one could visit her home either while in University. I started with the new game with a new character after I had lost all of my previous families when I added Island Paradiso and Patched the game. I will try again with this game i will put a new game and make a new character and let you know how it works out. Thank you for your help

Well I am back again, I started from scratch new character, and I got the same problem I applied the Ultimate fix to no avail I'm still not able to continue playing the game, I have to do the same things all over again, Im stuck in a kinda groundhog day not moving forward nor back. Short of removing all 19 packs of Sims 3 I am lost to what to try next, the game is just really not worth playing any longer.

Ameera42 doed the account your using on the PC have Administrator priveledges?

Here are a few solutions to try:
1. Right-click on TS3W.exe and select Propeties, Compatibility and check the bos next to "Run this program as an Administrator, then click Apply. Now launch the game and see if it will save your progress.
2. If that fails, completely unistall the Sims 3 and any EPs and/or SPs. Create a Restore Point and then run your fav Registry defragger and HDD Defragger.
Shut the system completely down for at least 2 minutes and restart
Reinstall the Sims 3 and run the manual 1.55 update, then install any Eps/SPs that you want to use and re-apply the manual 1.55 update.
Apply the Ultimate Fix exactly as writen. Reboot your system and stop any programs/services that you dont need, the try running the game.

Hi All

I've done the Administrator thing but Im the only person that has used the PC, I have noticed that during gameplay if I make changes to the lot and to the sims e.g hair or clothes these are all intact when I return next game play, its only the two Simmies that have no relationships or friendships I have thus far remarried my two simmies 5 times. They are both living in the same house and all skill levels are up as was the position I left the game in all the books they have read are still sitting in the reread position, the Wall around the house I put up during tonights game is still there. Its only the two sims that will not save their relationship or even friendships, I think its Island Paradise that is the problem but Im not completely convinced anyone any idea what could be causing this really annoying glitch.

Hello,

This glitch will only happen either you didn't uninstall The Sims 3 properly or you have incompatible mods/CC installed (that's quite unlikely because you should have started out mod-and-CC-free right?). So tell me, did you follow the instructions mentioned here to uninstall The Sims 3 base game + expansions? Don't say yes immediately. Check to see if you have done all of the instructions.

Well no I havent uninstalled the sims3 yet I'm trying so hard not to have to do that as I have all 19 packs installed, prior to Island Paradise being installed my games were running perfectly its only hapened since the update and the newer patch

Some Helpers suggest it could be enough if you try to re-install the base game only. You could try that too.

Yes, it does. Re-apply the manual patch, then the Ultimate fix.

many thanks may I ask a question about the ultimate fix on it where it lists all packages above 60s,70s,80s, ep so you have to install the fix to all of the eps you have ?? Basically step 10 could you clarify please

After applying the manual patch, it's enough when you use the two files from the #crack folder of the "Ultimate fix". Copy the two files to C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Overwrite the existing files.

I wouldn't offer to reinstall only the Base game it breaks the connection between the rest of the ep's and I ended up doing a full uninstall using revo and reinstalled to find my game working perfect until I added my Saves folder and mods and downloads then the glitch came back so now i need to eliminate it from those three folders. Trial and error from here on in I think thank you for all your help.

Make sure the mods are compatible with The Sims 3 before placing them in Documents\Electronic Arts.
