Looking for a Windows copy Empty Looking for a Windows copy

Hello! I don't even know if the topic is at the right place, but since it mostly is about Windows and Windows is Pc then yeah, Pc support? I'm sorry if I got it wrong!

I've been through the How-To: BOOTCAMP for worry-free simming topic and I have some questions/requests.

First of all,

  • what windows am I supposed to download, now that Windows 8 is out? Does sims work better on Windows 8 or 7?
  • what is ExHD? It says to eject it but...


And then, there is some download links I can't find, I tried to type some things on Google but I don't even know what I am searching for so it makes it kinda hard to find...

  • Windows 7 or 8 (depends on what the answer of my first question is) because I'm afraid that downloading the wrong thing will broke my computer instead of fixing it
  • Windows Loader because I don't even know what this is but the link in the topic isn't working

Hello,

I'm myself unsure whether that's the right section for this kind of question, but let's see. The "Sims (3) downloads support" section is definitely not the right section though. Wink 


Games4TheWorld offers a Windows 7 download, available from here:

http://www.games4theworld.org/downloads.html


My personal recommendation is that you go for Windows 7 (the 64-bit version, if possible), instead of Windows 8. Although Sims 3 seems to work fine on Windows 8 too, I would stick with Windows 7, since in my opinion it is much more stable and reliable than Windows 8.

Whether you choose Windows 7 or 8, I don't think that any of these, if installed properly, will "break" your computer, but then I'm not familiar with Mac computers so...

As for this "ExHD", I'm afraid I can't help either with that kind of stuff, but maybe the Admin and/or one of the Mac Helpers can elaborate more.

Not sure what "ExHD" means, but probably something like "External Hard Disk"(?).
