Sims 3 is not working

Hello everybody,

I don't know if anyone else has got this problem, because I didn't see any related posts.
I used to be able to play Sims3 (+/- 1 month ago), but all of a sudden I got an error message saying "The Sims 3 is not working anymore" (in Dutch, so "The Sims 3 werkt niet meer") probably because of the update.
I tried removing and installing the game over and over, doing everything exactly as in the description, but it won't work:evil: .
Every single time I get the error mssg that it's not working, and I'm getting really frustrated. 
I've downloaded Revo Uninstaller and CCleaner, so there shouldn't be 'leftovers'.
Can someone please help me?

Thanks for replying! 
I'm not using any mods, just the base game + Generations, Late Night, Master Suite, High End Loft & Diesel exp.
My laptop has ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400, and although there is no update available, it should work just fine for TS3. (and I used to play it untill approx. a month ago)
Any other suggestion I could look @?

CC Cleaner and Revo Uninstaller may not delete the folder C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 for you. Make sure you have renamed the folder or deleted the folder.

Also please re-do steps 2-4 of the guide linked by Lady Eldi. Redownload the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix and re-apply them consecutively.

I checked, the folder was deleted.
I redownloaded & re-applied the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix this weekend when I made the 100st attempt to get it working again, so that also shouldn't be the issue?

Unfortunately, no. TS3 won't even start up.
I get a black screen and a loading cursor (which should mean that the game is loading), but after a while it shuts down the black screen and I get the error message "The Sims 3 is not working anymore.. Windows is searching for a solution" (in Dutch: De Sims 3 werkt niet meer.. Windows zoekt naar een oplossing)
