Exchange Trick

the trick for downloading sims through exchange doesnt work for me once i try to install the package. it gives the update error. if someone could offer a clear step by step as to how to fix this i would be greatly appreciative.
P.S.
Sorry im trying to follow other peoples threads but im not sure what they are doing that im not.

Hello,

Files from the exchange haven't worked properly for quite some time, I'm afraid decrapifying won't help. I couldn't even use a file I uploaded to it myself, go figure. There's no known fix, sorry.

Well some of them do work, including a female sim I have worked on.

I don't think there are any legitimate ways to know, unless you install them and test them in the game.
