THE SIMS 3 HELP

Hello, 
I recently installed the sims 3 base game and followed all of the instructions and it worked fine, I than installed 2 expansion packs : high end and ambition but when i tried to install the diesel stuff pack this message appeared: "The version of The Sims 3 installed is not updatable and is not compatible with The Sims 3 Diesel Stuff." i thought that it may need an update so i download the manual patch and when i tried opening it this message came out "The version of The Sims 3 installed is not updatable and is not compatible with The Sims 3 Diesel Stuff." I tried downloading it again but it didnt work, so i just gave up and when i tried runing the game normally it didnt work. Does it have anything to do with the fix I installed? Because before i installed the base game I installed the fix and read the instruction manual that the fix had and followed it completely. Im lost and sort of frustrated cause i have been waiting to play it for so long. Hopefully you guys can help me,

Im sorry I made a mistake i forgot to tell you that the reason that i downloaded the fix was because i had installed the base game before but whenever i tried runing it it said that there was a disk required for the game to start so i read in one of the forums that for that error to go away i had to install a fix, thats why I installed it  and i followed the instructions for downloading from the guide you have for mac users and than i followed the instructions from the fix manual.

Just clarify the situation I want to ask you a few question: Were you able to update your game successfully from your launcher? Also, did you download the manual update and Ultimate Fix? 

The reason why you got that "no updatable, not compitable" error is because of your game version isn't up to date and newer released Expansion Packs requires an updated game. That's why, you need to update your game succesfully to apply Ultimate Fix and play your game.

That's why, if you can't update it from the launcher, you need to install manual update from here and update your game: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v163-fix-manual-patch

Then you should apply the Ultimate Fix by reading the guide inside it, cracking the game you own and ta-da! You're ready to play
