Starting base game problem- no game disk found

Hello, 

I'm trying to install and play the Sims 3 on my Macbook Air, but have come across a problem. I have followed the mac guide to downloading the Sims 3, and everything worked perfectly, until I tried to start the game using the launcher. Then a pop-up saying "No game disk inserted! Please insert the Sims 3 game disc before proceeding." appeared. I have not installed any expansion packs or stuff packs. 

Any help would be appreciated. ^^

It means you didn't crack your game  Where did you get your base game?

The base game I used is the one linked in the mac guide on piratebay, named "The Sims 3 (Mac, cracked)". Sorry, I can't post links yet. :/

It's one of the few base game versions which works on macs without problem. But it looks like you patched your game from the launcher?

By doing so, now your game needs crack for the new version. And you need the apply Ultimate Fix. But before that, you need to download or install any new Expansion Packs, up from Generation to be able to use Ultimate Fix.

Did you download any Expansion Packs?

Nope, but I'm currently torrenting one (it's going to take a while). So all I have to do is install at least one expansion pack up from Generations and apply the Ultimate Fix, right?

The game works fine now.  I installed University life and used the Ultimate fix. However, I came across a snag which I solved myself, if I followed the instructions on how to crack the game using the Sims 3 Mac Guide, instead of the Installation Guide in the Ultimate Fix, a pop-up saying "Unhandled page fault on read access to 0xbeab8ac4 at address 0x7c47106c. Do you wish to debug?" appeared. However, after following the Installation Guide in the Ultimate Fix, the game works fine now. I thought maybe it would be helpful for future downloaders by stating this. Super excited to start playing!
