How do you update sims 3 if theres no EA download manager please help!

Hello, Today I was going to update the Sims 3 game from 1.22 to 1.24

But EA download manager got replaced

So how do you update it?

I have the Ultimate fix btw

Last I recall, Origin is the new name of the EA store... or something. So basically, it runs through that now. Or something. I'm not currently having this issue so I wouldn't know. I'll google around a bit and see if I can find something.

But if you wanna update manually, I need to know what version you're trying to update to. Because there are mirror downloads for patches. (Rough guess, updating to 1.24)

Hm. The ultimate fix here and patching it through the launcher seems the way to go here. I've never tried downloading standalone patches for expansions and stuff packs because well, it always updated itself for me. so meh.

Hello,
I've been unable to update using the launcher myself and have used a manual search for the latest 2 patches and this works just fine. It is easier to use the launcher but you can still use the fix if you've updated the game with a mirrored patch, it's the same patch, simply acquired through other means.
