How to install and play the base game only?

So i am on this reallly slow internet and its taking ages fro me to download. I was wondering however if it would be possible to install and play the base game and isstall the expansion packs later. I read in the "fix" that i need one of the later expansion packs for it to work. Would it be possible that i install one of these expansion packs and then crack it and then add the others later once they are downloaded.
The internet is slow and i just cant wait to start playing Razz

Hi madman,sorry about your slow internet and install your base first then you need atleast of the expansion.Do the following:
1)INSTALL YOUR BASE GAME(DO NOT COPY FILES OF CRACK OF THE BASE GAME)
2)THEN UPDATE YOUR GAME TO V1.67 USING MANUAL PATCH
3)INSTALL ATLEAST OF THE EXPANSION PACK(APPLY THE CRACK OF THES EXPANSION ALSO)
4)AGAIN UPDATE YOUR GAME USING MANUAL PATCH
5)NOW COPY THE FILES OF EXPANSION FOLDER CRACK TO EXACTLY C:PROGRAMFILES(X86)/ELECTRONICARTS/SIMS3/GAME/BIN.
6)AND WHEN EVER YOU GET NEW EP'S OR SP'S YOU CAN ADD THEM THEN DO AS STEP 5 AGAIN

Hello,

It is possible to play only the base game only. Here are the 2 ways you can do so:

(1) After installing the base game. Do not update the game. Open the folder # Crack in the base game torrent you have, and then copy and paste the content inside to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Replace the files when you are prompted to do so.

(2) You can also update the game via manual patch first: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v166-fix-manual-patch . After that, download the temporary fix here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems .
Open the temporary Fix with WinRAR, and then drag and drop the content of it to C:\Users\(your computer username)\(My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. After that, run the game and it should work fine. You need to bypass the launcher to run the game (by running TS3W.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin).
Remember to remove the temporary fix if you want to install the expansions later on and apply the Ultimate Fix!

Unfortunately JT, you need to install certain expansions for the Ultimate Fix to work.
So only your first solution will work, but the game will not be up to date and as such, you will not be able to install any CC or Mod...

Theoretically, since the temporary fix is Nraas NoCD mod, according to http://nraas.wikispaces.com/NoCD, it should work even though you only have the base game installed. (You can tell by knowing that Twallan/Nraas modders didn't warn the users to have one/more expansions installed to make the mod work).
