Cracked the sims 3, still asking me to insert disk

What kind of error message do you get when pasting the two files from the #crack of the Ultimate fix, into the base game location ?

If you have Windows Vista or a later OS, go to C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Right-click on the Bin-folder and choose "properties". Then go to the "Sharing" tab; there, choose "Advanced Sharing".

In the next window, mark the box "Share this folder" and click on the "Permissions" button. And in the following window, mark "allow" next to "full control". Now, close all windows by clicking on "Apply" and then on "OK".

This means you have enabled "sharing" for the Bin-folder. You may have to repeat the process for the "parent"-folders too. This means, continue with the Game-folder, then The Sims 3, then Electronic Arts, etc.


Other than that, there is no real explanation. Please close the Sims 3 launcher when trying to paste the #crack files to their correct locations too. Usually, there is no big deal involving the application of the cracks, but keep us updated !

Yes, this includes Windows 7 too   (since Windows 7 came right after Vista, so 'later').
