Into The Future - Can't create or buy plumbots. Empty Into The Future - Can't create or buy plumbots.

Hi!

Some basic info;

Computer specs are very high (GTX 770, i3770k & 24gb RAM on win7), so I doubt it's related to that.
I've got all expansions, stuff packs and store content installed.

When I click on the robotics station to create a plumbot, I enter create-a-plumbot mode and can design it as I wish. When I finalise it, it pops back to the game with no notifications and... no plumbot to be seen.

If I travel to the future and try to buy a plumbot, the plumbot disappears and I get a blank square where the plumbot should be on the left. Can't select it.

I've tried this with and without the nraas mods, with one of them (errortrap) it tells me there was some form of error after I create a plumbot and gives the following information in the error file it creates:
System.NullReferenceException: A null value was found where an object instance was required.

-Disabling all mods
-Removing all cache files
-Removing my entire Sims 3 folder in my documents, except for my save game.

Not having any luck though it seems :(I'd appreciate any suggestions that anyone may have!

How many active Sims have you got in your household?

And something else when you download mods, first of all download Framework (it gives you specific folders and files in which you can add you mods) and then when you put the mods, you should always delete these 4 files before you start playing from the documents which are

-Castpartcache
-compositorcache
-scriptcache
-simcompositorcache

If you delete these files before you start playing every time, then you wont have any script errors

Thanks for the reply!

I'm using the mod framework. I just tried deleting those cache files though and no luck, sadly Sad I've just got one active sim in the household.

Sorry for the delay. Are you still in need of help ?


Unfortunately, the only thing I can offer, for now, is that if you have the STORE FIXES installed, please remove all those files. Or you could even try removing ALL of your mods, at least temporarily. 


After removing the store fix files and/or the mods, please delete the scriptCache.package file, located in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3.
