Black screen after launcher Empty Black screen after launcher

Okay everything has worked up untill today.  My girlfriend downloaded sims universary . i opened the launcher installed it then moved the tsw and the dll file into the main game dirrectory and she went to start the game and it goes  to a black screen when you hit the play button on the launcher.   any idea whats going on?

Have you tried using the Ultimate Fix?

Use ultimate fix
delete chache from mydocuments/electronic arts/the sims 3
open game using exe in your program files
