How to use a home-world university?

I downloaded this awesome pack, along with the university rabbit hole rugs and I have Nraas Career mods as well (merged, though). But how can I enroll sims to the local university? When I use the enroll option on the phone/computer, the game just sends them to the university sub-neighborhood.

Why do you merge mods ?
Not only will this lead to your mods not working (properly), but you may also encounter other possible issues like crashes, freezes or similar things. So please delete this merged stuff again, and re-download ALL the mods that are described in the link you posted (the ones from NRAAS). And never merge mods. 
After you re-downloaded the mods, please delete the scriptCache.package file, located in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3. Next, from what I understood, you have to click on these "University Life Rabbit Hole Rugs", and then you will/should get an option to enroll at the university in your hometown. See if that works for you. Good luck !

You can safely merge things like buy/build-mode/CAS items, but NOT mods or neighborhoods.

Thanks, it worked! I thought I could only enroll by the phone/computer...
I read somewhere that you can merge mods which probably won't need any updating, that's why I merged them. I have some in separate packages, but merged mods do work for me.

Sorry for the late reply, but do you still need help with anything (else) ?
I still wouldn't merge mods, unless the descriptions CLEARLY say that you can safely merge a mod with something else.
