Get stuck at main screen

Well, I'm having an interesting problem. I was having some stability issues with the game so I decided to start fresh. I uninstalled everything and reinstalled all of my games, which includes some from Games4theworld.

I'm running Windows 8 on a new computer. I have
I have zero CC installed (this is a fresh install)
Updated game manually to 1.67
Copied over the Ultimate Fix files for Late Night
Copied over the Ultimate Fix files for the expansions (step 10)
It then told me I needed to insert the Future disc, so I recopied over the Crack files for that one.

When I run the game I get an interesting error (can't take screen caps with it in full screen, so bear with my description). The "..." opens up a blank bubble. Like there are lines, but no words. The drop down to select towns is completely empty. Clicking on start a new game makes the bubble gray out, but does nothing. Help?

Well first of all re-read step #1 in [url=Copied over the Ultimate Fix files for Late Night Copied over the Ultimate Fix files for the expansions (step 10) It then told me I needed to insert the Future disc, so I recopied over the Crack files for that one.]this[/url] topic and make sure you have at least one of the ep/sp from G4TW and then instead of copying the Ultimate Fix from each expansion you need to go straight to #Crack folder in Ultimate Fix and copy the content and paste it in C:\Program Filesn(x86)\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
Open ur game to see if it's fine.
