Hello,
Have you read and applied ALL the instructions in MAc guides? If so you should know that you need to have at least one of the latest expansion pack installed for the Ultimate Fix work.
Please read the Guide carefully and aplly all the instructions: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t11808-brand-new-how-to-install-the-sims-3-on-mac-os-guide-read-it-here-now-new

Re: "Unknown error occurred" after manual patch [SOLVED]
Hello! Thanks for the reply! I have all the expansions installed, as the pdf says. Basically I followed the instructions from the pdf. When i unzip the the sims 3 app it works perfectly. When I apply the update, I have a "Unknown error occurred" error message. If I install all the expansions with the order they were released and apply the Ultimate Fix, I continue to have the same message.
After many tries, when i installed the update the game begun without error, but when i finished with expansions and the Ultimate Fix i have this error message "Unable to start game Service initialisation failed(0x024e424f)". What can i do?
Thank you again!!

Hello,
Did you use manual update or you updated your game from the launcher?

Hello! I used manual update, but I had the same problem from the launcher!
So now I have manual updated Sims 3 and I have the error message "Unable to start game Service Intialisation failed (0x024e424f)". I have already instaled all the expansions with the order they were released.
Thank you

Hello,
Have you applied Ultimate Fix or did anything before using the update? Can you briefly explain to me how did you install the games? Did you check right after installing the main game and make sure it's working? Which version you are using as a main game?

Re: "Unknown error occurred" after manual patch [SOLVED]
I used the instructions from the pdf.
So first of all I downloaded the base game from the link of pdf. I unzip the game and tried to open it and worked. After, I updated the game manual and when i tried to open it asks to insert the game disc. Then I installed the expansions and applied the ultimate Fix. When I installed all the expansions I tried to open it and after the Launcher, when iI clicked "play" button I had the error message .
I'm not sure that I understood the question about the version of the main game. The version I think is 21.0.150.024001
Thank you!

Hello,
It's normal not being able to open the game after you updated the game first, because patch needs Ultimate Fix.
Which expansions you have?

Re: "Unknown error occurred" after manual patch [SOLVED]
Hello,
Can you please apply the Manual Update again, then Ultimate Fix? Have you read the guide in Ultimate Fix? I am resuming how to apply the Ultimate Fix correctly:
For The Sims 3 - World Adventures: open the "World Adventures" folder in this .rar file and apply both files in there by navigating to: Applications\The Sims 3\ folder and then right-click the The Sims 3: World Adventures icon. Click "Show original". Now, click "Show package contents" and navigate to: Contents/Resources/trangaming/c_Drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 World Adventures/Game/Bin/ and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
It's the same with other files such as Ambitions, Fast Lane Stuff, High End Loft Stuff, Late Night etc. You should put the crack files in these folders into their OWN game icon.
After you're done with it, you need to use the crack files in the folder named "All The Expansion Packs After Released after Generations". Select the files in this folder and copy them, now go to Applications\The Sims 3\ folder and then right-click the The Sims 3 icon. Click "Show original". Now, click "Show package contents" and navigate to: Contents/Resources/trangaming/c_Drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/ and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
And now final crack part is:
Open the “# Crack” folder in this .rar file and apply both files in there by navigating to: Applications\The Sims 3\ folder and then right-click the The Sims 3 icon. Click "Show original". Now, click "Show package contents" and navigate to: Contents/Resources/trangaming/c_Drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/ and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
It seems doing the same stuff all over again but it is working like that. You need to put the laast two folders into Sims 3 icon directly, not in the expansion packs.
If you apply all the instructions carefully, your game will work perfectly fine.
