university life Help downloading....

I have done all this before about a year ago or so but my computer crashed and EVERYTHING was gone. got a new one and now i forgot all about downloading ANYTHING. but anyways. i have the Base game. and it wouldnt let me download pets so i uninstalled it and did university life instead. but now while im downloading in the middle it says insert disc. but idk what to do. i have a 64 bit hp laptop windows 8.1 ( i hope this isnt why o.o ) but im like dying to play the game as its been FOREVER since i played. i have already downloaded the ultimate fix.

i hope someone can help me. there was to many threads about university life and couldnt go through them all.

OK, I actually thought you already had "University life" installed. For now, make an empty folder somewhere, and name it "University life" if you want.

Now, you need to open the .RAR file of University with WinRAR, and you need to extract ALL the contents of the .RAR - into that folder. Remember, you need to have ALL contents of the .RAR extracted.

Get WinRAR here:

Then go to that folder, and re-start the installation with the "autorun.exe"...

I got it i forgot about the Crack Folder. and now its saying the sims 3 stoped. everytime i try now it says that and wont let me play :'(

OK, NOW that you have "University life" installed, you repeat the "steps from #2 to #4" that I already mentioned:

As for step #4...after you applied the latest "manual patch" (step #2) you ONLY need the folder in the Ultimate fix that's called #crack. Inside, there are two files, TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll. You COPY them both. And then you PASTE them into your base game location and overwrite all original files (choose "copy and replace" for all).

Your base game location will normally be in C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Again, read these steps very carefully - there shouldn't be much behind them. Smile
