Order to Install The Sims 3 Expansions

Hey there, so I was just wondering if I need to install every single expansion pack and stuff in order of their release time? Because say if I already installed Ambition then I wanted World Adventure can I install it after Ambition even though it came out before it?

Hello,
There used to be an order to install the expansions in a certain order, but this is obsolete now, with the latest "manual superpatch" being available. Basically, I'd recommend you only install the base game first, and THEN apply this latest manual patch, from here:

After that, you are free to install whatever expansion you like. When you are done with that, please re-apply that manual patch, and ignore the message that "your game is updated already" - simply re-run the patch.
At the end, you do steps #3 and #4 here, adn then you're ready to start the game:
