Dragon Valley egg ! [SOLVED]

HI , im new here :newfag:

Thanks to the Games4theworld i was able to download

Sims 3 with 5 expansion pack and counting Very Happy

Until i download the Dragon Valley Gold from this site , it runs but, the egg doesnt hatch

so here goes :

1 i download Store Fixes from yesterday
2 in the instruction says eliminate StoreFix_DecrapFixes.package Shocked

so i did
3 put the rest of the package where it told me to
4 i also deleted the cache just in case

I enter in game waited and nothing , put new egg and nothing

i dont want to mess up or lose anything Crying or Very sad

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME ??

I also have Pets installation questions but i don't want to load this thread

IT CRACKS !!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT THE EGG HATCH!

MY problem was i saw this

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE A FILE CALLED "StoreFix_DecrapFixes_TEMP.package", REMOVE IT!

so i didnt added it ! the problem was that i confuse that file with this one:
StoreFix_DecrapFixes.package

so when i added it everything worked !! thank you COFFEJUNKIE The Sims 3 plumbob

I'll go with the first thing on my mind : did you talk to the egg ?

The bug that made the eggs not working was that after the elapse time of hatching, the dragon wasn't coming out. Is that your problem ? Just putting the egg on the floor won't give you a dragon Smile

i talk to the egg like 5 times ,i carry it
do i need to do it more ?

No problem Smile

If you hover on the egg, it should tell you in how long it will hatch. If at the end of the time, the dragon hasn't hatch, then the fix didn't work.

But, you only need to talk to an egg once, talking to it will influence what kind of dragon you will have Smile

So you can talk to it all you want, or just once.

alright!

so i mess up in the fix ...

here is what i did

1 downloaded fix store from yesterday (the latest i assume?)
2 i deleted StoreFix_DecrapFixes_TEMP.package
3 I did both method
4 Place "ccmerged.package", "StoreFix_Fixes.package" and
"XMLs.package" in:
(My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages\

5. Open (My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup\ and find a .package file called "ccmerged.package
i did find it do i need to do something there Shocked

?

(My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Overrides\.

7.Place "ccmerged.package" in:
(My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages\.

9 start the game and nothing Help

Hello,

You did NOT apply the store fixes 100% correctly. Wink

From what you describe, I think you still need to place the ccmerged.package from the latest store fix, into My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/DCBackup. And you need to REPLACE the old ccmerged.package there, with the new one from the latest fix. But please take your time to re-read the instructions again, in case you might have missed something else too.

Next, after you did all the fixes correctly, delete the scriptCache.package file in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3. This is just to make sure that no old "script" from older mods/fix files interferes.

When you start the game then after that, please sell the dragon egg, and then buy a new one. If you did everything right, it should work. I compiled the store fixes, and tested ALL the items myself. And yes, the dragon egg works for me. And it should for you too, again, if you do everything right. Good luck !

Hello again,

About your dragon egg, so is it really working now ? Is the little dragon really hatching ? And by the way, when I tested the store fixes, I didn't need to "talk" to the egg; I think the "hatching"-timer will automatically start once you buy the egg...

About the "Pets"-expansion, please download the one that is named "The Sims 3: Pets [FIXED]". Smile

Let me know if you need more assistance !
