Hi there,

I downloaded and installed/played the recent free Sims 2 Ultimate Collection from Origin and just recently found out that it contained securom/DRM hidden inside.

I'm not really familiar on what it is, but I read that it causes problems with other software that is not legit... I really want to try Sims 3 but have yet to download/install it because I'm worried that the DRM will cause any conflicts with Sims 3? Will they interfere with each other? I just want to be safe and don't want to mess up my computer files with the whole securom registry removal... >.<


Any help is greatly appreciated... thank you!

That's an interesting question actually, and I'm afraid I can't give you a 100% safe answer on that. But almost all of my games are pirated, and so far everything is fine. Yes, do try to install The Sims 3 and let us know the result ! As for me, all my Sims 3 games are fine too...

Hey Carlos, 

Great news! I installed the Sims 3 and all the expansion packs with no problems! The game seems to work fine so far (although only got as far as just going into Create a Sim at the moment). Thanks for trying to help! If I have any more issues I'll be sure to report here again. Smile
